The 29-year old had fallen out of favour at Chinese club Tianjin Teda, whom he joined from Olympiakos but was relegated to the reserves.
However, with the World Cup now less than six months away, he has now secured a move to the Spanish side.
Ideye has not hidden his desire to play at the World Cup for Nigeria. He was part of the team when they began the qualifying series, but ran out of favour as he failed to play regularly for his club.
