Mrs. Valentine Okike Responds To The Issue Of Alledged Assault On Her By Her Husband At Abakaliki Stadium Few Days Ago..

Few days ago, news went viral on the internet alleging that the member Representing Onicha West Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly connived with his girlfriend to beat his wife to a pulp after she caught him red handed smooching his mistress, an incident that left her hospitalized.

Ever since the unconfirmed report hit the public domain, nothing has been heard from either the husband or the wife except for their first outing to a state function, which occurred just two days after the alleged assault.

Just yesterday, camera caught the family where they attended a church service and later proceeded for a family shopping and the picture quickly circulated on the internet as well.

Few days ago, a friend of mine broached the subject to a member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and his response was simple: "the House of Assembly doesn't operate on hearsay, if anybody has a concrete proof on the alleged incident, let him come forward. The House will take it up from there."

Just this morning, Mrs Nonye Okike Uzor, the alleged victim, through her facebook profile responded to the trending issue and below is her statement:
"Our enemies will live to see us, from glory to glory, where God will continue to take us".

In another of her statement she advised the general public to get busy and stop the culture of tanishing people's image, " ...You better find something to keep yourself busy"

Then, I ask, where is the news of the alleged assault coming from?

-I was thinking that if the news were to be true, the woman was supposed to be in the hospital bed and not appear in a state function and shopping with her husband.
-Who has the video, pictures or audio of this incident? And more importantly, who manufactured this damaging falsehood?

My take: If no evidence of the assault exists and the woman is enjoying the bliss of matrimony with her husband as was visible to us and she has come out clearly to speak on the incident, then who am I to come against them for the Bible states that whatsoever the Lord has Joined together, let no man put asunder.
