Federal Government accepts the animadversion for the delay in activating the South East Virology Center in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State

The Federal government has expressed regrets over the outbreak of Lassa Fever in Ebonyi State which has so far consumed the lives of 4 people as a result of the failure of the federal government to have activated the virology center ever since it was completed by Ebonyi State Government, Commissioned and handed over to the Federal Government.

The above expression was made in a courtesy call on the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi by the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole.

The Minister expressed satisfaction over the level of developments in Ebonyi State as he described the governor as a rapid developer.  governor as a rapid developer.
