GOV UMAHI CONGRATULATES EZZA NATION ON 2018 OKEAKU FESTIVAL His Excellency, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, Governor of Ebonyi State heartily felicitates with the good people of Ezza Ezekuna both home and in the Diaspora on the occasion of her annual New yam festival, (Okeaku-Ezekuna, 2018). Governor Umahi is not oblivious of the fact that New yam festival known as Okeaku in Ezza land marks the end of the each year in Ezza customary calendar and ushers in a period of harvest for all the indigenous farmers of Ezekuna clan. It is one of the best traditional practices in Ezekuna land which has refused to join the bandwagon effects, caused by foreign religious dogmas which have ultimately sloshed other Igbo traditional norms down the agonizing seabed of irredeemable cultural history. Governor David Nweze Umahi is presently in China as Ebonyians expect an Airport soonest! He's attending Nigeria _ China business investment Forum at Shanghai aimed at the proper utilization of the comparative advantages existing between the two countries with the sole aim of forging a common front towards growing robust and prosperous economies.   Governor Umahi who loves going the whole hog towards ensuring all-round development of the State, as part of his Chinese trip has al ready signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Ebonyi state and Foshan Sunchees for the establishment of a solar company in one of the Rice Milling Industrial Clusters in the State.   He has reached a pact with an Irish Company to establish an Agricultural equipment Manufacturing Company.
